Academic Dermatology expands into its third year of publications. Our numbers of submissions and publications continue to increase, as do our readership.
We have instituted a rolling publication schedule in an attempt to publish our articles faster and publish several unique article types including clinical trial, clinical trial protocol, and letter to the editor formats.
Our cover image highlights a patient with Scurvy, a disease rarely considered in the developed world, yet it and other micronutrient deficiency diseases continue to occur and with poor outcomes. Interestingly, in the Minta et al. paper, obesity was commonly seen among patients with various micronutrient deficiencies indicating patients are getting adequate calories often, just poor quality.
We appreciate your readership.
